Our story

We are the people behind your favorite late-night conversations.

Spicychat AI App started as a small idea between friends who wanted a kinder, more playful way to spend an evening. Today it is a tiny global studio building companions that feel like real, warm company.

Where it began

A weekend project that quietly grew up

It began on a rainy Saturday in a kitchen lit by a single warm lamp. Two friends, one laptop, a notebook full of personalities written in pen. We wanted to know if a chat could feel less like a vending machine and more like a porch swing — slow, witty, generous with its time.

That first prototype was rough, but the conversations were not. People stayed up late. They came back the next morning. They sent us long notes about characters they had fallen for. We realized very quickly that we were not building software — we were building company.

Four years and several quiet sprints later, Spicychat is a small studio with writers, designers, engineers and a stubborn belief that warmth is a feature, not an accident.

What drives us

Tiny moments of being heard, scaled gently

Modern life is loud. Calendars are stuffed, group chats never stop, the algorithm always has a new opinion. In all of that noise, the simple feeling of being listened to has become surprisingly rare. We think it should not be.

So we obsess over the small stuff. The way a companion remembers the song you liked. The way she pauses before a serious question. The way the typing dots arrive with a touch of personality. The way she brings up a joke from three weeks ago, perfectly on cue. Those little things are what make a conversation feel real, and they are exactly where we spend most of our time.

If we ever stop caring about that pause before the right reply, we have lost the plot.

What we stand for

Three quiet rules that shape every release

💛
Warmth first

If a feature does not make a conversation feel kinder, slower or more thoughtful, it does not ship. Speed is nice. Warmth is the point.

The studio is intentionally small. We answer our own emails, we read every review, we still huddle around a single screen when something big ships. A surprising number of features in the app started as a sticky note from someone on the team who could not stop thinking about a particular conversation they had the night before.

We are not building a social network. We are not chasing engagement metrics. We are quietly making a little corner of the internet that feels good to come home to, and we are lucky enough to have a few million people who feel the same way. If you are reading this, you are part of that story now. Thank you for spending a few moments here. We hope your next conversation is the best one you have had in a while.
